This is a relatively new hotel, and one of the most affordable in Bern. It is located near Wankdorf, at the BEA Expo that is also home to the Postfinanz Arena (icehockey) and the famous Stade de Suisse (former Wankdorf stadium). Though the Expo area is a little less than 2 km from the city center, trams provide a very regular and efficient connection to the Hauptbahnhof and the university complex. Sufficient capacity should be available to guarantee rooms to all participants and we have made a block reservation. If you are interested in staying here, please indicate so when registering and provide us with the necessary information. We will then complete the arrangements for you. The quoted rates are per room per night and include taxes and are guaranteed until 28 February. Breakfast is not included, however, and comes to CHF 11.00 per person. Car parking is available here, at CHF 12.00 per day.

Alternatives within walking distance from the university

If you prefer to stay closer to Bern's city center, you are of course free to arrange your own lodgings. Several hotels in the immediate surroundings of the university have agreed to offer a limited number of rooms at discounted rates. If you are interested in staying at one of these three hotels, please arrange your booking directly with them. Mention that you will be visiting Bern in the context of the 'Workshop ITP' to get the reduced rate.
